Our understanding is that the university plans to make 160 posts redundant by the end of July next year (which means approximately 180 people will lose their jobs), The union is furious that the university rejected 89 of the 202 applicants for voluntary redundancy (almost half - 44%), which more than covered the number of job losses announced between now and the end of July 2010 |
