  The Higher Education Committee (HEC) convened a special meeting of the HE sector conference to consider the national pay claim and campaign for 2013.
• HE sector conference - USS dispute: September 2012

  Special HE sector conference of pre-92 institution on 13 September 2012 to consider the USS dispute.
• HE pre-92 conference - USS: January 2012

  At its December meeting, HEC agreed to call a decision-making conference of pre-92 branches to discuss recent developments in the dispute and plans to escalate industrial action.
• UCU Congress 2011

  The annual UCU Congress will be held at the Harrogate International Centre, from Saturday 28 May to Monday 30 May 2011.

  A special HE sector conference will take place on Thursday 25 November in Manchester.
• FE sector conference - 2010-11 pay offer: October 2010

  A special FE sector conference was held on 2 October 2010 to consider the 2010-11 final pay offer for colleges in England.
• UCU Congress 2010

  UCU Congress 2010 took place in Manchester from Sunday 30 May to 1 June.
• HE sector conference - pay and job security: February 2010

  Special HE sector conference held on 11 February 2010 to consider the draft 2010 pay claim and campaign.
• FE sector conference - 2009-10 pay offer: September 2008

  Special FE sector conference held on 19 September 2009 to consider the 2009-10 final pay offer for colleges in England.
• UCU Congress 2009

  The annual congress of the University and College Union was held at the Bournemouth International Centre, Bournemouth, from 27-29 May 2009. This included meetings of the higher education and further education sector conferences.
• HE sector conference - 2009-10 pay claim: November 2008

  Special HE sector conference held on 7 November 2008 to consider the 2009 pay claim.
• FE sector conference - 2008-9 pay offer: September 2008

  Special FE sector conference held on 20 September 2008 to consider the 2008-9 pay offer to FE colleges in England
• UCU Congress 2008

  UCU Congress 2008 was held 28-30 May in Manchester. This included meetings of the higher education and further education sector conferences.
• HE sector conference - JNCHES review: November 2007

  Special meeting of the higher education sector conference held on 9 November 2007 to consider issues arising from the JNCHES review.
• UCU Congress 2007

  UCU's inaugural Congress meeting took place 30 May - 1 June 2007 at the Bournemouth International Centre. This included meetings of the higher education and further education sector conferences.
• Predecessor union: NATFHE conference

  NATFHE's regional councils elected delegates to the national conference and to the further education and higher education sector conferences (all normally held once a year), and to the FE, HE and equal opportunities advisory councils.
• Predecessor union: AUT Council

  The AUT's main conference meeting, or council, was its ruling policy-making body and met once a year during spring.
