Climate Solidarity Project

UCU has joined forces with the Communications Workers Union (CWU), the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS), the National Union of Teachers (NUT), and the Climate Outreach and Information Network (COIN) to launch the 'Climate Solidarity' project.

See: Unions launch historic environmental initiative

The project will train hundreds of activists on how to encourage their co-workers and employers to reduce their carbon footprint. The project aims to set up over a thousand action groups that will work on actions like: lowering electricity and heating bills, insulating your home, smarter commuting, getting more from your car, buying more food from local suppliers and cutting down on food waste. For more information and to start your action group, visit the Climate Solidarity website

If you are interested in getting involved, please email Graham Petersen: gpetersen@ucu.org.uk.
