Special congress: democracy commission

The special one-day meeting of congress to discuss matters arising from the report of UCU's democracy commission is expected to take place on Saturday 7 December in Manchester

The national executive committee has resolved that a special Congress be held on Saturday 7 December 2019. The business of this Congress will be to discuss UCU's democratic structures and the recommendations of the democracy commission.


Registration for Congress is now open!

Institutions are entitled to one delegate per 400 members or part thereof.

Once registered, delegates will receive an email confirmation to say their registration has been received.

Venue & Times

Manchester Central Convention Complex on Saturday 7 December 2019

Business will take place from 11:00am - 16:30. Registration will be open from 10:00am.


Accommodation will be provided (if needed) on Friday 6 December. Delegates must request this when registering.
