ULR 2: Bargaining for better learning agreements, 29, January, 2025, National course, in person
This course is for branch union learning reps or those reps and activists interested in finding out more about negotiating effective and inclusive learning agreements. The course will assume you have some knowledge around the bargaining structure in your institution.

Location: | In person - final location TBC probably a venue near Loughborough |

This course will enable you to:
Understand the negotiating process and how it relates to learning in the workplace
Identify and mitigate for the barriers to negotiating learning agreements
Understand how equality and intersectionality impacts on negotiating learning agreements
Gain skills and confidence around negotiating
Identify opportunities to engage members in the bargaining process.
Consider communication strategies around a negotiating timetable with a focus on learning agreements
Critique and assess learning agreement claims.
This course is open to branch reps and activists who want to learn more about negotiating effective learning agreements.
