Part-time staff & pensions

Under auto-enrolment members are automatically placed into a pension scheme.

All staff should now be auto-enrolled into a pension scheme, with the right to opt out if they wish in the first 3 months.

This explains the position of part-timers in the final salary scheme as protected or transitional members and for members of the new scheme how their earlier part-time service is worked out.


If you are working part-time then 1/75th of your earnings will go into the CRB scheme and will be revalued by CPI with caps like all full-time staff.
