TUC statement on EU-Colombia free trade agreement

The TUC has issued a statement following the initial signing of the EU-Colombia draft free trade agreement in April.
The statement expresses the TUC's deep disappointment in the initial signing of the agreement. It calls on members of the European parliament to exercise their right to block the ratification of the treaty when it comes before them later this year, and to demonstrate that they will not allow basic human rights to be sidelined in the pursuit of increased profit.
