Locked out: end the Open University ban on Cuban students
This week we wrote to the vice-chancellor of the Open University and universities minister Jo Johnson demanding that the ban on Cuban students attending the OU be overturned. Professionalism, fair admissions and access to higher education
The University and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) is withdrawing funding from SPA - Supporting Professionalism in Admissions (SPA) - the organisation that promotes professionalism, fair admissions and access to higher education. SPA is currently exploring future funding models, without which they could be forced to close in September. We would welcome any thoughts you have on alternative funding models, the priorities SPA should be seeking to preserve, or new areas of support that would be of benefit.  Please send any comments to anartey@ucu.org.uk. UCU extends its solidarity to colleagues at SPA.
