Social Mobility Index shows Reform & Tory MPs don't know value of higher education

UCU general secretary Jo Grady said: "This index gives the lie to those Reform and Tory politicians who use every opportunity to do down universities and seek to deny working class people the life changing education the sector provides. Our members work tirelessly to support students and their hard work, as well as benefitting some of the most marginalised communities, helps drive much-needed growth across the country. It is high time their efforts are celebrated."
