Supporting adults on English, maths and ESOL: 'Resilience and responsiveness' conference

Taking place at Imperial College Union, London on 3 November this conference looks at improving adult literacy, numeracy and language skills. Organised jointly by Learning and Work Institute, UCL Institute of Education, UCU, Research and Practice in Adult Literacy (RaPAL) and National Association for Teaching English and Other Community Languages to Adults (NATECLA).

The Third Convention for Higher Education: UCL UCU

Organised by University College London UCU, its Third Convention for Higher Education will look at defending higher education and research bill against the HE bill.

Further education staff governors' conference: change with care?

This conference is open to all staff governors and is supported by all representative unions. The theme this year is 'FE: change with care?' This conference will provide the opportunity for staff governors to discuss how governing bodies can respond to change and how staff governors can play a full part in governing body discussions.
