UCU has written to the Turkish government about threats to academic freedom and the safety and well-being of students in the Kurdish region.

The letter says that UCU is particularly concerned about recent threats made to nearly 1200 academics who signed a petition calling on the Turkish government to end state violence in the Kurdish region.
