Prisons strategy white paper 2022

Although many of the top-line aims presented in the consultation are important long-term ambitions, UCU is concerned by the lack of detail accompanying these ambitions, particularly in relation to prison education and the proposed Prison Education Service. The absence of a roadmap to these mean that it is difficult to see how they will be fully achieved.

Our response sets out our concerns about the proposals, along with our recommendations for improvement.
