UCU @ CU Coventry
13 September 2016
UCU is the union for staff teaching in post-secondary education. If you teach in a college or university - we are your union.
We are recognised to negotiate pay, working conditions and many other things in colleges and universities all over Britain.
Joining UCU is easy and cheap*. You can do it online, now, by clicking here
We negotiate for your colleagues at Coventry University, which owns CU Coventry. We have just won the right to negotiate for your colleagues at CU Services, also owned by Coventry University.
Now we want to win the same rights for you.
We believe that everyone who teaches for one of Coventry University's companies deserves to have a strong, independent collective voice in their workplace.

VICTORY AT CU Services - IT CAN BE DONE.
On 2 September 2016, your colleagues who teach pre and in-sessional English at CU Services, another subsidiary of Coventry University, voted by 100% to be represented by the University and College Union. In the face of arguments that a union was not necessary, the staff delivered their verdict.
73% turned out to vote and every single vote cast was in favour of recognition.
The Central Arbitration Committee, the independent body that oversees trade union law, has declared that UCU is now legally recognised to negotiate for your colleagues at CU Services.
Why should it be any different for you?
