Protocolau COVID-19 ar gyfer Addysg Uwch

Er ei bod yn galonogol gweld bod llai o achosion o drosglwyddo COVID-19, mae'n parhau i beri bygythiad uniongyrchol i staff, myfyrwyr a chymunedau yn gyffredinol. Er mwyn rheoli'r bygythiad hwn, mae UCU Cymru wedi cytuno ar gyfres o brotocolau sy'n berthnasol ar lefel y sector.

Mae'r Bil Partneriaeth Gymdeithasol a Chaffael yn ceisio dod â threfniadau presennol at ei gilydd o dan ambarél deddfwriaethol cydlynol. Yn ein cyflwyniad, mae UCU Cymru yn dadlau y dylai model llwyddiannus fod yn addas ar gyfer y dyfodol gyda thechnoleg newidiol a rolau swyddi sy'n datblygu. Gan nodi bod angen cwmpasu cyrff llywodraethu Addysg Uwch ac Addysg Bellach, rydym hefyd yn awgrymu y dylai Estyn, Cymwysterau Cymru a CBAC hefyd gael eu cynnwys yn y Bil. Gan ddatgan na ddylai arian cyhoeddus fyth ddilysu achosion o gamfanteisio ar y gweithlu ac na ddylai strwythurau newydd ddisodli trefniadau rhagorach, rydym yn argymell nifer o atebion polisi cyffrous wedi'u cynllunio i gymell partneriaeth a chydymffurfiaeth.

HE Covid Protocols

Whilst we are heartened to note the reduction in transmission, Covid 19 still constitutes an immediate threat to staff, students and communities at large. To manage that threat, UCU Wales has agreed a set of sector level protocols.

UCU Wales response to consultation on The Social Partnership & Procurement Bill

The Social Partnership & Procurement Bill seeks to bring together existing arrangements under a coherent legislative umbrella. In our submission, UCU Wales argues that a successful model must future proof with changing technology and developing job roles. Identifying the need to capture HE & FE governing bodies, we further suggest the Estyn, Qualification Wales and the WJEC should also be covered by the Bill. Asserting that 'public money should never underwrite workforce exploitation' and that 'new structures should not supersede superior arrangements' we recommend a number of exiting policy solutions designed to incentivize partnership and compliance.
