In today's email Update your membership records This is a timely reminder, at the start of the new academic year, to check and update your UCU membership record. Reasons to check your membership 4 There are different types of ballots but all are dependent on UCU having reliable contact information for you. Consultative ballots, on policies or changes to terms and conditions and indicative ballots, to check whether members are prepared to take action prior to a statutory ballot, can be undertaken as e-ballots, so up-to-date email addresses are essential. Statutory ballots for industrial action must, by law, be undertaken by post, so up-to-date postal addresses are essential. Also, there are occasions when we need to notify you of important issues directly, and again, reliable email addresses are crucial for this. Don't miss out on your right to be informed and consulted; or on your right to participate in the democratic processes on the union. How to check your membership You can now access your membership details on line via MyUCU our member services site, so it couldn't be easier to check and update your information at a time that it is convenient for YOU!
