JUPA updates charter and position statement

The Joint Unions in Prisons Alliance (JUPA) successfully launched their updated Safe Inside Charter and position statement in Parliament on 8 July.

UCU was well-represented at the event with senior officers in attendance and several reps spoke about their experiences of working in prisons.

On the floor of the house Liz Saville Roberts, MP for Dwyfor Meirionnydd, raised a question about safety in prisons and the relaunch of the charter.
