The career experiences of Black prison educators (2026)
This report contains groundbreaking research looking at the career experiences of Black educators in our prisons. It finds educators motivated to join the profession, to change lives and give back. But it also finds a workforce facing poor and unsafe working conditions, unsupportive managers, vulnerable offenders and career paths warped by racism.
The point of this research must be to push for radical reform and reshape the system.
