Covid-19 and prison educators

UCU general secretary Jo Grady has
written to all prison education employers [158kb] to request that if there is a case or suspected case of coronavirus within a prison establishment that as a precaution no prison education staff should be required to attend site and should be provided work to do remotely.
In all instances, special leave should be paid including to those staff on casual/sessional contracts on a no detriment basis.
