NEC casual vacancy further education North West

Attention is drawn to the following national executive committee casual vacancy for which nominations are now open:

Geographically-elected NEC  member, North West, from the further education sector

Janet Farrar (The Manchester College) has taken up the position of president elect (becoming president 2022-23), having served one year of a two-year term as a geographically elected NEC member for FE North West.  In accordance with rules 21.5 and 21.8, a by-election must now be held.

Term of office

The term of office for this casual vacancy will be from the declaration of the election result until the end of UCU's annual Congress in 2021.  The ballot period for any ballot required is currently subject to confirmation.

Nominations

The calling notice and  nomination form [59kb] for this vacancy is now available. Attention is also drawn to the election guidance notes below.  The deadline for receipt of nominations to this vacancy is 17:00 on 10 July 2020, including the receipt of all support for nominations, and receipt of election address. Nominations, made on the appropriate form, should be sent electronically (as signed, scanned pages) to Catherine Wilkinson, cwilkinson@ucu.org.uk  Receipt of all nominations will be acknowledged.
